If you can dream it, you can become it

If You Can Dream It, You Can Become It

I first saw this quote when I was in college. Imagining what I would paint on the blank canvas of my future took on many possibilities.

As we journey through life, we need to remember that dreaming isn’t just for young people to imagine their future. We can, and should, continue to harness the power of dreaming throughout our lives. When we dream, we both invent and reinvent – and create our own brighter future.

Sometimes life gets in the way of our dreaming. We can easily get stuck in the motions and lose focus on where we want to go and what we hope to achieve. Dreaming can free us from the mundane and provides the opportunity to understand our own potential and the impact we have on others.

If you have a dream that keeps getting pushed aside, I encourage you to step outside your comfort zone and free it. Take a risk. Be vulnerable and share your dream with others. You’ll be amazed at the new power this dream takes on when it sees the light of day.

Align yourself with dream catchers, not dream naysayers. Make sure you hang with people who energize, not evaporate, your energy. It’s amazing how many people are willing and capable of helping you realize your potential right here in Cincinnati. As a founder and President of a Cincinnati based organization, I can personally attest to the support of dream catchers in the community. We have a very strong network of business leaders and resources that support the entrepreneurial spirit. Check out Cintrifuse, SCORE, and MORTAR to name a few.

We should all support those who dare to dream. So now that I understand the power of dreaming, I would probably revise that famous quote just a tad.

“If you can dream it, you can share it. If you can share it, you can become it.”

How can I support your dream?

Dedicated to my husband, Rob. The one who has supported my visions and continues to push me to dream bigger.
